Maryam app for iPhone and iPad

The mobile phone drama MARYAM, by Rebecca Forsberg, introduces us to a young female scientist in tenth century Aleppo, Syria, as she struggles for a place in Bayt al-Hikma, the House of Wisdom. Maryam developed the Astrolabium which was a pocket-sized astrological instrument for measuring time and determining location. MARYAM is a drama of alienation, courage and the right to an education.

Maryam is a mobile phone drama in the form of an app that is playable in cities around Sweden. The piece is playing as you move around outdoors and the app allows you to chose your own path through Maryams story. After the play you can contribute your own thoughts and read the reflections of others.
